Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you access or use Shortcuts AI.

Last updated: August 12, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Shortcuts AI websites, Apple Shortcut, account and settings pages, documentation, support channels, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated under the Shortcuts AI name ("Shortcuts AI," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, adding the Shortcut, purchasing credits, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.

If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. In that case, "you" includes the organization.

2. Your account and setup key

You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity performed through your account, paired Shortcut, and setup key unless caused by our breach of these Terms.

Keep your credentials and setup key confidential. Do not publish, sell, transfer, or share them with someone who is not authorized to use your account. Notify support@getshortcuts.ai promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. The Service

Shortcuts AI connects server-side AI reasoning with Apple Shortcuts. Depending on your settings and request, Agent may interpret content, use online tools, or send structured instructions back to your device so Apple Shortcuts can perform an action in an app or system feature.

The Service depends on third-party platforms, models, apps, and APIs. Features may vary by device, operating system, region, language, account status, provider availability, and permissions. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue a feature when reasonably necessary to improve the Service, address safety or legal concerns, respond to third-party changes, or operate the Service sustainably.

We do not guarantee that every request will be completed or that any particular model, tool, app, integration, or Shortcut entry point will always be available.

4. AI output and automated actions

AI systems are probabilistic. Agent may misunderstand a request, omit information, produce inaccurate or offensive content, select the wrong tool, or propose an action you did not expect. Online information may be incomplete or outdated.

You are responsible for reviewing outputs and confirming that a proposed or completed action is appropriate. Use extra care before relying on the Service for financial, legal, medical, employment, safety-critical, or other high-impact matters. The Service does not provide professional advice and is not designed for emergency use.

Your device, Apple Shortcuts, and the relevant app control local permissions and confirmations. Enabling a tool authorizes Agent to consider that tool, but does not guarantee that your device will permit or complete the action. You remain responsible for messages, email, posts, purchases, files, calendar entries, reminders, calls, or other actions initiated through your account or device.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only in compliance with law and these Terms. You must not use or attempt to use the Service to:

  • violate law, regulation, court order, or another person's rights;
  • harass, threaten, exploit, defraud, or harm another person;
  • create or distribute malware, phishing, spam, or deceptive content;
  • access an account, device, network, data source, or system without authorization;
  • upload content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or contractual rights;
  • generate or facilitate child sexual abuse material or the sexual exploitation of minors;
  • interfere with, probe, overload, disrupt, or bypass Service security or rate limits;
  • extract models, system prompts, credentials, or non-public Service components through automated or deceptive means;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to others without our written permission;
  • use output to make a solely automated decision that creates a legal or similarly significant effect on a person without appropriate human review; or
  • conceal your identity or misrepresent the origin of a request when doing so would be deceptive or unlawful.

We may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate action, including limiting tools, blocking requests, suspending access, preserving evidence, or reporting conduct when required by law.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. You grant Shortcuts AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, limited license to host, copy, transmit, transform, and process that content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the Service; comply with law; and enforce these Terms.

You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to submit the content and instruct the Service to process it. Do not submit confidential, regulated, or sensitive information unless you are authorized to do so and have considered whether the Service is appropriate for that information.

Generated output may not be unique, and other users may receive similar output. To the extent permitted by law, you may use output produced for you, subject to these Terms and any rights held by others. We do not promise that output is eligible for copyright or other intellectual-property protection.

7. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, documentation, trademarks, and other materials, is owned by Shortcuts AI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from protected parts of the Service except as permitted by law or with our written permission. Apple, Apple Shortcuts, and other third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners. Shortcuts AI is not sponsored by or affiliated with Apple unless expressly stated.

8. Feedback

If you send ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use it without restriction or compensation. This does not transfer ownership of content you submit for Agent to process.

9. Credits, pricing, and payment

The Service uses a prepaid credit balance. The amount charged for a request may vary based on the AI model, tokens, tools, or other resources used. Current rates, available top-up amounts, currency, and any applicable taxes or fees are shown in the Service before purchase or use.

When you purchase credits:

  • you authorize Stripe and Shortcuts AI to process the displayed charge;
  • credits are applied after we receive confirmation of successful payment;
  • credits are a limited license to use eligible Service features, not money or stored value;
  • credits are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash;
  • promotional credits may have additional conditions or an expiration date disclosed when issued; and
  • we may correct a balance affected by error, refund, chargeback, fraud, or unauthorized activity.

Except where required by law or stated at checkout, completed credit purchases are final. If you believe a charge or balance is wrong, contact us before initiating a payment dispute so we can investigate. Nothing in this section limits refund or cancellation rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

We may change future pricing by updating the rates shown before use or purchase. A change does not retroactively alter a completed purchase.

10. Third-party services

The Service interoperates with third parties such as Apple, authentication providers, AI model providers, search or transcription providers, hosting providers, and Stripe. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by that party's terms and privacy policy.

We are not responsible for a third party's service, content, availability, or independent handling of your information. If a third-party change prevents a feature from working, we may modify or discontinue that feature.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that policy. You are responsible for obtaining any notices, consents, or other permissions required before submitting another person's information.

12. Beta and preview features

We may label a feature as beta, preview, experimental, or early access. Such features may be incomplete, change without notice, contain more errors, or be discontinued. Use them at your own risk and do not rely on them for production, safety-critical, or legally regulated activity unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may manage or delete account information through available account controls or contact support for assistance.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe that:

  • you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms;
  • your use creates security, legal, financial, or safety risk;
  • payment is reversed, fraudulent, or unauthorized;
  • we are required to do so by law or a third-party platform; or
  • continued operation of the Service or a feature is no longer reasonably practicable.

When reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. We may act immediately when necessary to prevent harm, address fraud, or comply with law.

After termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive—including those concerning content licenses, payments, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and miscellaneous terms—will survive.

14. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Shortcuts AI and its suppliers disclaim all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers. In those jurisdictions, the disclaimers apply only to the extent permitted by law.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shortcuts AI and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity; or the cost of substitute services, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms, even if advised that such damages are possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Shortcuts AI and its suppliers for all claims arising from or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Shortcuts AI during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US $100.

These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including certain liabilities for fraud, willful misconduct, personal injury, or violation of mandatory consumer rights.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Shortcuts AI and its personnel and suppliers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights. This section does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by Shortcuts AI.

17. Disputes and applicable law

Before filing a formal claim, contact support@getshortcuts.ai and describe the issue. You and Shortcuts AI agree to try in good faith to resolve it informally.

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without overriding any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking relief in a court or forum that has jurisdiction under applicable law.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security practices, or business operations. We will post the updated Terms and change the date above. If a change materially reduces your rights or increases your responsibilities, we will provide additional notice when required. Your continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.

19. Miscellaneous

These Terms and the policies they reference are the entire agreement between you and Shortcuts AI about the Service unless we enter into a separate written agreement. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the Service.

Translations are provided for convenience. To the extent permitted by law, the English version controls if a translation conflicts with it.

20. Contact

Questions about these Terms may be sent to support@getshortcuts.ai.
